Home Search Pro USA Privacy Policy

Privacy information for Home Search Pro USA on the web, iOS and Android.

Last updated: 22/09/2026

Who we are and what this policy covers

Mennig Creative Ltd provides Home Search Pro USA, a service for exploring statistics about US ZIP-code areas. We are responsible for the personal information we process to operate the service. This policy covers homesearchprousa.com and the Home Search Pro USA iOS and Android apps.

For privacy questions or requests, email info@mennigcreative.com.

Privacy at a glance

You do not need a Home Search Pro USA account. ZIP codes are sent to our online service to retrieve area statistics, and requests are logged. Mobile subscriptions use RevenueCat and the relevant app store. The current app does not request GPS location, access your contacts or include advertising.

ZIP-code searches and area information

When you run a search, your device sends the selected ZIP code to our API. The website also loads a sample area when you open it. A ZIP code you search for need not be where you live.

Our API uses the ZIP code and the corresponding area's coordinates, county or state to request public statistics from the US Census Bureau, FBI Crime Data Explorer, FEMA data hosted on Esri ArcGIS, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, CDC PLACES and the National Weather Service. Those requests originate from our server. The app does not attach your RevenueCat identifier, app-store account or payment details to a ZIP-code request.

Coordinates used for weather and hazard lookups are derived from the selected ZIP-code area. The app does not obtain your device's GPS position. Health and crime figures displayed by the service are area statistics, not health or criminal records about you.

Technical information and request logs

Our website host, API host and other providers delivering the service receive connection information such as an IP address when your device connects. Our API is hosted on Render. Its application logs record requests, including the requested path containing the ZIP code, time, response status and processing duration. Errors may also be logged.

This information is used to operate the service, investigate failures and protect availability and security. Hosting infrastructure may record additional network and browser or device information under its own logging settings. Searches therefore are not confined to your device.

Mobile subscriptions and payments

In mobile versions with subscriptions enabled, RevenueCat checks subscription access and supports purchases and restoration through Apple App Store or Google Play. The web version does not offer subscription checkout.

RevenueCat generates an app user identifier. Our app does not supply a name, email address or a Home Search Pro USA account identifier during that setup. The identifier still allows subscription activity to be associated with an installation or purchase history; it should not be treated as information that can never identify a person.

Subscription processing can involve that identifier, purchase receipts or tokens, product identifiers, transaction dates, renewal or expiry information, entitlement status and technical information about the app and device. RevenueCat also provides subscription reporting. We use these services to deliver paid access, restore purchases and administer subscriptions.

Apple or Google handles the payment using your store account. Home Search Pro USA does not ask you to enter payment-card details into the app. Your store account and payment information are also subject to the relevant store's privacy policy.

Information held on your device

Search results and display choices are held in the app's current session. The current service has no Home Search Pro USA login or account-based saved-search database. Browser and app components can cache files needed to run the service, and the subscription SDK can keep its identifier and subscription information on your device.

Clearing website data or uninstalling an app can remove local information, but does not by itself delete server logs or purchase records, or cancel a subscription. Mobile purchase restoration is available through the app's subscription screen.

Advertising, analytics and support

The current app and website do not include advertising networks or a separate visitor-tracking or behavioural-analytics integration. Subscription reporting and operational request logs are described above. The application code does not set advertising cookies or forward ZIP-code searches to RevenueCat.

If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use this correspondence to answer your question, provide support and handle privacy requests. Our email service provider processes messages to deliver that service. Please do not send passwords or full payment-card details.

Why we process information

Where UK data-protection law applies, we rely on providing the requested service for search and subscription functions; our legitimate interests in maintaining a reliable, secure service and answering enquiries for operational logs and support; and legal obligations where records must be retained or disclosed. Those interests include diagnosing failures, preventing misuse and resolving purchase disputes.

We do not use area statistics to make automated credit, mortgage, insurance or eligibility decisions about you.

Service providers and international processing

Information is processed by providers supporting hosting and delivery, subscriptions, app-store payments and email. This includes Render, RevenueCat, Apple or Google as relevant, and the public-data services described above. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to address fraud or protect legal rights.

These services operate internationally and information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. The relevant provider's terms describe its processing locations and transfer arrangements. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your request. This policy does not imply that all information remains in the UK or on your device.

Provider information: Render, RevenueCat, Apple and Google. If you follow an external data-source or store link, that destination handles your visit under its own policy.

Retention

The API keeps a shared, in-memory cache of area statistics keyed by ZIP code. Cached results are reused for up to six hours before a later request refreshes them; the cache clears when the server process restarts. This refresh interval is not a promise that request logs or purchase records are deleted after six hours.

Operational logs are kept according to the hosting provider's retention settings. Render's standard dashboard periods currently range from 7 to 30 days depending on the workspace plan; these periods do not describe independently retained incident records or other providers' records.

Subscription information is retained as needed to maintain and restore access, resolve refunds or disputes and meet applicable record-keeping duties. Support correspondence is retained for handling the enquiry and any related follow-up or dispute. The relevant criteria are whether the service or enquiry remains active, an outstanding dispute or legal duty, and the provider's retention and deletion processes. Contact us for the retention details applicable to information associated with you.

Your choices and rights

You can stop making searches and manage or cancel a subscription through the store where you purchased it. Cancellation and a request to delete information are separate actions.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to restrict its use. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Rights can be subject to exceptions, including necessary legal records. Email info@mennigcreative.com to make a request. We may need sufficient information to verify the request and identify the relevant record, such as a purchase reference; we do not need your store password.

You can raise a concern with us or, where applicable, complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local privacy authority.

Children and changes to this policy

The service is intended for people researching home purchases and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has supplied personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate.

We will update this page when the service or its data practices change. The date above identifies the latest policy version.
